Wilson Sonsini has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Staff Recruiter to join our dynamic recruiting team. This role will be responsible for full cycle recruitment of business professionals and will identify, recruit, and hire top talent. This role offers an opportunity to make significant impact on building out teams across the firm. This individual will provide proactive insight, guidance, and support to the firm’s managers, and will help drive innovation in hiring and refine recruitment strategies to attract and retain top-tier talent.
This role is available with a hybrid work schedule, and we will also consider fully remote.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for full cycle recruiting including recruiting intake, sourcing and strategy design, conducting interviews and assessments, negotiating job offers, and onboarding.
- Proactively identify passive candidates by utilizing online research tools, social media, job boards, employee referrals, and networking.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to assess staffing needs and identify strategic sourcing strategies to boost candidate flow.
- Act as a trusted advisor to firm leadership on all recruiting related matters.
- Provide tools and guidance to assist managers with recruiting and interview skills.
- Maintain a constant and steady focus on the current market and share competitive intelligence with key client groups.
- Implement and execute recruiting programs and strategies to fill current openings and build a robust pipeline of quality candidates.
- Provide support and lead projects in the recruiting arena such as employer branding, internal and external communications, recruiting system changes and implementations, updating processes and documents, program development, and onboarding.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to support development and growth.
- Partner and collaborate with other HR teams (HR business partners, compensation, HR operations, HRIS, benefits).
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of full cycle recruiting experience; law firm or other professional services experience preferred.
- Deep knowledge of full cycle recruiting (sourcing, interviewing, offer negotiation, providing recommendations to hiring managers).
- Strong results-oriented recruiter with high attention to detail and resilience.
- Ability to partner and influence key stakeholders at all levels to drive hiring goals and outcomes.
- Strong technical aptitude with Microsoft 365 and HR systems (Workday experience a plus).
- Ability to use good judgement with strong decision-making and collaborative problem-solving skills.
- Strong influencing, analytical, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must have the ability to anticipate problems or challenges and be flexible in solving them.
- Proactive and positive thinker who is able to exercise good judgment, effective communication, and takes initiative.

The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto, but other locations may be listed. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows:
San Francisco and Silicon Valley: $116,875 – $158,125 per year
Austin, Boston, Boulder, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington: $105,400 – $142,600 per year
Salt Lake City and all other locations: $93,500 – $126,500 per year
The compensation for this position may include a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
