Located in the capital of Texas, our Austin office tailors our full range of legal services to the needs of technology and life sciences companies at all stages of development. Joining the Austin team means you will be given fast-paced, exciting work from day one, working with start-ups, entrepreneurs, and venture capital firms.
In addition to representing clients in a broad range of corporate, securities, M&A, and other transactions-related matters, our Austin attorneys advise on governance, employment, privacy and IP, including IP licensing and commercial contracts. Our team also includes experienced litigators who represent clients in complex IP, employment, trade secret, and other commercial disputes.
In Austin, our summer associate program typically recruits two to five summers, focusing on our corporate and technology transactions practices.

Our Technology Transactions Group offers the opportunity for self-motivated and entrepreneurial individuals with a strong interest in technology companies at all stages of growth to help build and grow an established and dynamic national practice. Your work will focus primarily on structuring, drafting, and negotiating a variety of intellectual property and commercial transactions as well as intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, financings, and other multidisciplinary transactions. If you want a career focused on intellectual property and commercial transactions and have 2-6 years of experience, we want to hear from you.
Join our Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity team, where you will advise on the full range of privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity matters on corporate and technology transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and other commercial and strategic transactions. You will be part of an industry leading team advising private and public companies of all sizes in a variety of industries, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud computing, software, and fintech. If you are a team player with an entrepreneurial spirit and proactive attitude with at least 1-3 years of experience, such as M&A, capital markets or technology transactions, we'd love to hear from you. CIPP certification or additional experience with technology industries, regulatory policy and enforcement or both is a plus.

The Senior AI Risk Advisor sits at the intersection of emerging AI technology and enterprise risk, helping shape how one of the world’s leading law firms adopts AI responsibly and strategically. Reporting to the Manager of Risk Operations, this role will lead the firm’s AI risk function, evaluating AI tools and vendors, developing governance frameworks, and guiding firm-wide AI adoption.
