One of the youngest and most vibrant tech hubs in the country, Salt Lake City combines startup energy and investment potential with glorious natural beauty, industry depth, and exciting opportunities for your legal career.

Welcome to Silicon Slopes, the not-so-fledgling tech and startup hub based in Salt Lake City. With more than $19 billion at play (and growing), Utah has become a prime destination in the tech space. Which is why Wilson Sonsini opened our newest office there in late 2021.

With strong relationships in the thriving community of technology companies, entrepreneurs, and venture capital firms here, we already represent more than 70 clients headquartered in Utah.

Our corporate attorneys have advised more venture capital firms on Utah-related deals and more Utah-based issuers on IPOs than any other firm since 2016, ranking first in each category by a substantial margin. The firm ranks fourth among law firms in advising on Utah-related mergers and acquisitions in the same period.

To complement our bustling corporate and transactions here, we have bolstered the litigation side with several prominent hires, including two former Utah Supreme Court justices.

Though it’s one of our newest offices, our summer program here includes two to five summer associates primarily working with our corporate and complex litigation practices.
