The firm is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support the execution of marketing and business development initiatives for the firm’s industry groups, including Fintech, AI, E-Gaming, NewSpace, Defense Tech, Quantum Computing, and Climate. The core function of this position is to provide essential tactical support to the fast-paced team. This role reports to the Senior Business Development Manager for Industry Groups.
This position is available as a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support and drive marketing and business development initiatives for the industry groups
- Participate in the successful production and execution of client events, speaking engagements, and sponsorships, including analyzing attendee lists, preparing mailing lists, creating tailored materials, supporting attorney follow-up, and tracking outcomes and activities in the CRM system
- Prepare compelling marketing and business development collateral, including basic and highly tailored pitch materials
- Conduct in-depth research on markets, technologies, companies, and individuals for the industry group attorneys
- Support the Business Development team’s pitch tracking and reporting activities
- Collaborate with the firmwide business development team to support and drive industry, practice, and technology innovation initiatives
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required with a degree in marketing, business, or related field a plus
- Minimum of one year of experience in related field (equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and have exceptional analytic and research skills
- Strong customer service ethic
- Exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written
- Extremely detail-oriented, with superior proofreading and fact checking skills
- Efficient, highly organized and ability to stay productive under pressure with tight deadlines
- Ability to multi-task
- Aptitude for learning new software, systems, databases, and procedures quickly
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Self-motivated and positive attitude
- Familiarity with legal or professional services industry a plus
The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto, but other locations may be listed. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows:
Palo Alto, New York, San Francisco: $29.83 – $40.36 per hour.
Austin, Century City, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Washington, D.C.: $26.97 – $36.49 per hour.
The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
