An integral part of the fabric of the tech economy, our Palo Alto headquarters thrums with opportunity.
In the heart of Silicon Valley (and founded before it was even called “Silicon Valley”), Wilson Sonsini’s Palo Alto office is our largest and serves as the firm’s headquarters. This is the center of gravity where our industry-leading teams have written our history alongside clients we have had relationships with for many decades. This history also acts as a blueprint as we continue to form new relationships with technology and life sciences companies every day, helping them shape the future of our world.
Palo Alto also serves as the home base for our Summer Associate Academy, a week-long program filled with training and networking opportunities for our entire summer class. Each year, 35 to 40 summer associates are invited to join our Palo Alto teams.

Our Technology Transactions Group offers the opportunity for self-motivated and entrepreneurial individuals with a strong interest in technology companies at all stages of growth to help build and grow an established and dynamic national practice. Your work will focus primarily on structuring, drafting, and negotiating a variety of intellectual property and commercial transactions as well as intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, financings, and other multidisciplinary transactions. If you want a career focused on intellectual property and commercial transactions and have 3-6 years of experience, we want to hear from you.
Wilson Sonsini's Accelerated Consideration for Employment (ACE) program is an opportunity for applicants with a serious interest in our firm to receive a hiring decision on an earlier timeline. Through ACE, candidates who have done their research can start the 2L application process earlier and move through the process faster.
We are reviewing 2L ACE applications and scheduling interviews on a rolling basis. Our general 2L Summer Associate application opens in early 2026.
In addition to applying for Summer 2027, the application enables you to be considered for our highly competitive two-summer fellowship for 1L law students, beginning in Summer 2026. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to build lasting relationships by working closely with attorneys across practice groups through sustained engagement over two summers. While the core work experience remains consistent, Fellows return for a second summer (2027) already familiar with our teams and culture. This allows for deeper integration, stronger mentoring relationships, and enhanced readiness for post-graduate practice.
