You will work with the firm's clients and counsel in all aspects of the patent practice, including assisting in evaluating invention disclosures, drafting patent specifications and claims, preparing and prosecuting applications, and working on proceedings in the State Intellectual Property Office (“SIPO”). If you have 3+ years of experience in patent prosecution, strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin, a license to practice before SIPO and a masters level degree or higher in biology, chemistry, bioengineering, or similar life sciences field, we want to hear from you. We also value your exposure to a wide array of technologies and/or experience in appeal and invalidation proceedings.
We currently have openings for attorneys or IP Specialists in China with at least a masters level degree in biology, chemistry, bioengineering, or similar life sciences field. An exposure to a wide array of technologies is strongly preferred. Candidates must have a license to practice before State Intellectual Property Office (“SIPO”) and at least 3 years of experience in patent prosecution. Experience in appeal and invalidation proceedings is strongly preferred. Candidates must be fluent in both English and Mandarin with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. We will consider candidates who are attorneys or patent agents.
