The Senior Business Development Analyst is responsible for helping to drive the execution of marketing and business development initiatives for the firm’s high-growth industry groups, including Fintech, AI, E-Gaming, NewSpace, and Climate.

The individual plays an integral role in raising the profile of these groups, both internally and externally, and supporting initiatives that contribute to client and pipeline development. The position works closely with the entire business development and marketing team, leveraging those resources to execute, track, and measure the impact of campaigns and initiatives. This role requires someone who balances strategic thinking with exceptional execution and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to evolving firm needs. This position reports to the Senior Business Development Manager for Industry Groups.

This position is available with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities Include:

Under the direction of the Senior Business Development Manager for the Industry Groups:

  • Support and drive marketing and business development initiatives for the industry groups
  • Conduct in-depth research on markets, technologies, companies, and individuals for the industry group attorneys and proactively stays up to date on relevant industry trends and developments
  • Support the Business Development team’s pitch tracking and reporting activities
  • Help track and maintain key attorney matters for the experience database
  • Participate in the successful production and execution of client events, speaking engagements, and sponsorships, including analyzing attendee lists, preparing tailored materials, supporting attorney follow-up, and tracking outcomes and activities in the CRM system
  • Prepare compelling marketing and business development collateral, including basic and highly tailored pitch materials
  • Collaborate with the firmwide business development team to support and drive industry, practice, and technology innovation initiatives
  • Act as a resource and informal mentor to junior team members

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a law firm business development function supporting practices and/or industry groups preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, with an empathetic, tactful, and professional approach
  • Extremely detail-oriented, with superior proofreading and fact checking skills
  • Highly efficient, organized, and able to remain productive and professional under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Proficiency with MS Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Aptitude for learning new software, systems, databases, and procedures quickly
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, and a deep curiosity about technology, life sciences, and the new energy economy
  • Ability to travel and attend key events and meetings on occasion
     

The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto, but other locations may be listed. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows:

San Francisco and Silicon Valley: $102,000 – $138,000 per year

District of Columbia, New York, & Seattle: $91,800 – $124,200 per year

The compensation for this position may include a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
