The firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team has an immediate, exciting opportunity for a service-oriented professional to join the team as a DEI Assistant. The role will be hybrid and ideally based in Palo Alto or New York, but other locations in the U.S. where the firm has offices will also be considered.

The DEI Assistant will be a part of the wider Professional Development team, working directly within the DEI team to support and implement the firm’s DEI strategy and initiatives. The DEI Assistant will also collaborate closely with various departments across the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for in-house DEI training and events, including scheduling; class set-up for in-person, hybrid and virtual programs; managing equipment requests; and communicating with presenters and attendees
  • Coordinate scheduling of affinity group meetings; maintain affinity group email lists; and other tasks relating to affinity groups
  • Use, update and navigate the firm’s learning management system to manage class details, track registrations, and enter CLE credits
  • Edit and post class recordings to our on-demand learning platform
  • Coordinate firm sponsorships for events hosted by external DEI organizations
  • Update and maintain DEI-related sections of the firm’s intranet and website, including upcoming program, recent event summaries, and DEI Committee and affinity group leadership rosters
  • Assist with internal and external reporting requests
  • Assist with other projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; candidates with relevant work experience will be considered
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in a professional environment preferred
  • Takes initiative and ownership with assigned tasks
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Strong organization and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Dependable, proactive and collaborative member of a team
  • Demonstrates high standards of professional conduct
  • Exercises good judgment and uses discretion when working with confidential data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel (preferred)
  • Proficiency in using advanced hosting features for virtual meeting platforms is desirable – willingness to learn and embrace technology tools is required

The primary location for this job posting is in New York, but other locations may be listed. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows:

San Francisco and Silicon Valley: $24.52 – $33.17 per hour

Austin, Boston, Boulder, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington: $22.07 – $29.85 per hour

Salt Lake City and all other locations: $19.61 – $26.54 per hour

The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
