Your work could encompass mergers and acquisitionscriminal and civil investigations by government agencies, antitrust litigation, counseling clients on matters concerning competition, and issues involving intellectual propertyconsumer protection, and privacy. You will be a trusted partner to your clients, advising them on competition issues through many phases of their corporate trajectory.  And you’ll work across departments at Wilson Sonsini to provide the best advice from a variety of practice areas, industries, and perspectives.

You’ll learn the ins and outs of U.S. and global competition regulations from former officials who served in senior-level roles at the U.S. and European agencies. You’ll represent highly innovative tech and life sciences clients on the most complex antitrust matters in the field. You’ll take the lead on investigations as a junior associate and collaborate with your mentors to deliver the best results for your clients on the most complex legal matters in the field.

And you’ll collaborate across time zones with colleagues in New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, London, and Brussels to deliver client successes as part of a winning team.

We are looking for a UK qualified antitrust lawyer with at least 1-2 years of experience to join the London office to help further develop the existing antitrust practice.

Experience with mergers in particular is valued and candidates should have experience in both the substantive and process portions of EU and UK merger control and should be able to manage a merger review including leading a team of associates.

Wilson Sonsini’s European competition team is hiring legal interns for a six-month period starting as soon as possible. The firm offers a competitive salary package.

Based in Brussels and London, the European competition team assists clients in the fields of merger control, cartel investigations, horizontal collaborations, vertical agreements, abuse of dominance, digital platform regulations, and other adjacent regulatory areas. Legal interns in the European competition team have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the firm’s competition practice, as well as to take on significant responsibility and work directly with senior attorneys. The European competition team values excellence and collegiality, and works closely with the firm’s global antitrust and competition practice.
