Wilson Sonsini is currently looking for an Events Coordinator to join our firm. The Events Coordinator will assist with the coordination of private, third-party, and partnered events. They will also work with the broader marketing team and attorneys to showcase the firm’s expertise through a variety of networking, partnering, and client-related events.
This position is available as a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and execution of conferences, focused seminars, firm-wide functions, internal firm activities, and client events by coordinating firm resources (e.g. A/V equipment, conference rooms, etc.), assisting with travel logistics for large events, and processing invoices
- Assist with the coordination of events hosted at firm facilities geared toward key audiences to include tracking guest attendance, monitoring event budgets, and ensuring event needs are met
- Oversee the firm’s inventory of logo items and support the Director in finding solutions in providing branded items to external clients or audiences
- Update and maintain client database
- Provide vendor relations support as needed
- Work on special projects as needed, including business development and communications activities
- Perform related duties as assigned or directed by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all firm policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- 2 years of experience in event planning and coordination
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Experience in the professional services field, technology industry, or related services industries, is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to work effectively with partners, attorneys, and staff at all levels to implement firm goals and objectives
- Ability to effectively interact with clients, outside service providers, business and community leaders
- High degree of discretion and independent judgment
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, internet research, Salesforce, and database skills
The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows: $24.52 – $33.17 per hour.
The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
