Join Wilson Sonsini’ s ECVC practice in San Francisco or New York focusing on emerging companies and the investors who support them! You will lead transactions and interact directly with founders, CEOs, management teams and boards of directors at our company-side clients as well as interact directly with investment partners and general counsel at our investor-side clients. Candidates with a demonstrated interest in these growth industries who have 4-6 years of ECVC experience and want to split their time 50/50 between company-side and investor-side work would make a great addition to our team.
On the company-side of this role, you will represent technology and growth companies at all stages of their development, from seed-stage start-ups to large private companies. You will frequently counsel entrepreneurs on company formation, equity structures and financing negotiations. In addition, you will advise private companies and their management team on a broad range of corporate matters, including strategic and commercial transactions, fundraising transactions, corporate governance responsibilities, equity incentive plans and arrangements, and employment related matters.
On the investor-side of this role, you will foster relationships with institutional investors funding private technology and life sciences companies. From seed funds to the Sand Hill Road giants, including prominent corporate venture capital arms, pension plans, family offices and sovereign wealth funds, you will work on Preferred Stock financings with both seed-stage start-ups and pre-IPO unicorns—often on the same day.
Clients in this practice group represent a diverse range of industries, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, autonomous vehicles, aviation, big data, cleantech and climate solutions, data storage, digital health and wellness, digital media and entertainment, electronic gaming, fintech, life sciences, robotics, semiconductors, software and SaaS, and web3, among other emerging and disruptive technologies.
Compensation and Benefits
- $310,000 – $390,000 salary, based on year classification.
- Discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
