Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s European Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity team is looking for a 2-4 year PQE UK qualified associate to join our London office.

The Wilson Sonsini Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity practice deals with complex data protection, cybersecurity and digital regulatory issues for leading and innovative companies around the world. Our highly experienced team advises clients of all sizes (from start-up to multi-national) across a wide range of sectors including the financial industry, high tech and life sciences, the Internet of things, social networks, connected mobility and biotechnologies. 

Our team works in a highly motivating and challenging environment on exciting, cutting-edge development and expansion projects involving all aspects of UK and EU privacy and data protection law, and increasingly on digital regulatory issues (such as compliance with the DSA, DMA, AI Act and OSA). We regularly represent clients in high-stakes investigations brought by data protection regulators in the UK, the European Union, the U.S. and around the world. We advise clients on GDPR and UK GDPR compliance projects, international data transfers strategies, data breaches and cybersecurity incidents, corporate transactional privacy, contract negotiation, litigation before national courts and the European Court of Justice. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues in our offices in Brussels and the U.S.

Minimum qualification:

  • 2-4 years’ post qualification experience. England & Wales qualified.
  • A strong focus and professional experience in UK data protection and cyber security law.
  • Superior academic credentials and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with technology industries, government regulation and technology, and data protection regulators’ policy and enforcement regarding data protection and cyber security issues is desirable.
  • Familiarity with computer programming, network technologies, database design, and web technologies is strongly preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial, team player, enthusiastic and proactive.
  • LL.M. obtained in the U.S. desirable.
