Recently, we created a new first step in our Summer Associate application process, the Accelerated Consideration for Employment, or “ACE” Program. Think of this as something akin to Early Action applications for university—an opportunity for applicants to show serious interest in Wilson Sonsini and get a decision from us on an earlier timeline.

If you have done your research and know that you want to be at Wilson Sonsini, in a specific practice group, and in a specific office, this program offers you an opportunity to begin our application process earlier and move through more quickly. Moreover, by applying through ACE, you are indicating interest and intent above and beyond that of many general pool applicants and will stand out because of it. Our aim is to simplify this process for our candidates so that you can get back to making the most out of your law school experiences.

We are reviewing 2L ACE applications and scheduling interviews on a rolling basis. Our general 2L Summer Associate Program application opens in early 2026.

In addition to applying for Summer 2027, the application enables you to be considered for our highly competitive two-summer fellowship for 1L law students, beginning in Summer 2026. If you do not wish to be considered for this fellowship program, you will have the opportunity to opt out when submitting your application, and we will only consider you for a Summer 2027 2L position.

We will invite a very select group of 1L law students to join the two-summer fellowship program. This invitation-only program is tailored for candidates seeking early, sustained engagement with the firm, and offers an unparalleled opportunity to build deep relationships, develop core legal skills, and work closely with leading attorneys across practice areas.

While the substantive legal work, mentorship, and training provided will be consistent across both summers, this program is designed to give Fellows more time to gain familiarity with our teams and culture and enhance their overall readiness for post-graduate practice.

To apply through ACE for Summer 2027, you will need to submit your resume, undergraduate transcript and cover letter. You will also need to select your primary practice and office interest. We will collect your first semester law school grades at a later date.

Regardless of how you choose to apply, we look forward to meeting you soon! Please contact lawstudents@wsgr.com with any questions.

Being a summer associate is like completing a long interview. Think both about the impression that you’re making on us and the impression that the firm is making on you. We will show you what it’s really like to work here and what makes Wilson Sonsini great, while you figure out if this is the place for you.
