We are looking for an English law qualified Employment lawyer to join the London office to work with the existing UK Employment partner and senior associate. You will gain excellent experience and exposure to clients, with opportunities for progression. You will advise the firm’s clients on the full range of employment matters, with a particular focus on advisory work (helping companies manage all aspects of the employment lifecycle from hiring to termination) and supporting the corporate team on M&A, financings and IPO transactions, usually with a cross-border element. We want to hear from you if you spent a majority of your 1-3 years PQE as an employment lawyer. Ideally, you would be commercially minded, and solution driven with the ability to clearly explain and advise on complex issues.

Wilson Sonsini’s dynamic corporate practice in London focuses on offering Silicon Valley-style business and legal advice to UK and European tech companies. Our team supports their growth from launching, scaling, and raising capital to exiting via M&A, IPO or otherwise, with a particular focus on UK and European tech companies exploring US expansion, fundraising or exit.
If you are a US qualified corporate lawyer with at least 2 years of relevant experience on M&A transactions, including drafting definitive transaction agreements and managing all other aspects of a strategic transaction, we want to hear from you. You will have a strong desire to be a collaborative contributor in a fast-paced working environment and be an energetic and creative problem-solver with strong client-management skills. You will actively engage in helping to build a thriving corporate practice, including mentoring and training junior associates.

We are looking for a UK qualified Share Incentive lawyer to join the London office to work with the existing UK Share Incentive partner. You will gain excellent experience and exposure to clients, with opportunities for progression. You will advise the firm’s clients on share option and employee incentive arrangements while supporting the London corporate team in relation to investments, M&A and IPOs. With a focus on UK/US advisory work, you will work regularly with members of the firm’s wider U.S. Employee Benefits and Compensation (EB&C) team on mutual clients as well as with corporate teams across the firm on both advisory work and cross border financings, M&As and other exits. We want to hear from you if you spent a majority of your 2-5 years PQE on employee share incentives and have a technical understanding and knowledge of incentive arrangements for private companies, with a particular emphasis on EMI arrangements, non-qualified plans, CSOP and growth shares. Ideally, you be commercially minded and solution driven with the ability to clearly explain and advise on complex issues.

This role will provide firsthand experience managing our portfolio of client accounts and ensuring timely payment of outstanding receivables. The ideal candidate will gain experience by working collaboratively across our various departments to support the firm’s financial goals. This position is available as a hybrid work schedule.
