On September 2, 2025, Diversity Lab announced that Wilson Sonsini has once again achieved Mansfield Certification Plus status for the 2024–2025 cycle, marking the seventh consecutive year the firm has earned this recognition. This accomplishment underscores the firm’s steadfast dedication to promoting inclusive and equitable workplaces.
Mansfield Certification is a year-long structured process designed to ensure all qualified talent from participating organizations have a fair and equal opportunity to be considered for advancement into leadership roles. Named after Arabella Mansfield – the first woman admitted to practice law in the United States – the initiative originated as one of the winning ideas from the 2016 Women in Law Hackathon, created by Diversity Lab in collaboration with Stanford Law School and Bloomberg Law. Mansfield is an inclusive sourcing process with “consideration goals” (not quotas) that requires participating organizations to track and measure the pool of candidates for leadership positions.
Wilson Sonsini is already participating in the 2025–2026 Mansfield Certification process.
