Wilson Sonsini has an immediate opening for a temporary Receptionist in our Palo Alto office. This is an important role as the Receptionist is the face of the firm and will need to present a professional and courteous image to internal and external customers and clients and will provide support to ensure that their requests are addressed.
This temporary position is expected to run through approximately June, 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and transfer within the Firm and to outside numbers using the Microsoft Teams Phone Landis Attendant Console System in the switchboard. Direct callers to proper person.
- Answer questions from employees regarding telephone/voicemail issues.
- Search records database to find which attorney handles specific clients.
- Provide breaks to the receptionists throughout the day.
- Assign offices to hoteling attorneys and staff.
- Greet guests and escort them to the appropriate conference room, attorney’s office, or hoteling office.
- Schedule internal conference rooms including national office resources by using booking software.
- Coordinate Facilities, Café and IT requirements within the firm.
- Projects as assigned.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Teams).
- Prior experience Microsoft Teams Phone Landis Attendant console a plus, along with ability to handle large call volume.
- General office administrative skills and attention to detail and follow through.
- Must be flexible and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- High school diploma or GED required.
The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows: $24.52 – $33.17 per hour.
