Wilson Sonsini is seeking a proactive and entrepreneurial Attorney Recruiting Assistant to become part of our vibrant Boston team. You’ll play a key role in facilitating the recruitment process for summer associate, entry-level, lateral associate, and patent agent roles. We’re looking for team players who can also thrive independently, easily adapt to shifting priorities, and bring creativity to the table. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Boston Recruiter and Law School Attorney Recruiting team with planning and executing the summer program, tracking the budget, and attending Boston-based events as required.
  • Collaborating with the IP Attorney Recruiting team on planning and executing patent agent recruitment events.
  • Assisting with gathering evaluations, coordinating check-ins and reviews, and facilitating the Boston summer associates’ offer process.
  • Handling administrative aspects of on-campus and entry-level recruiting, including registration for on-campus interviews and job fairs, interview scheduling, candidate monitoring, correspondence, and coordination of the Boston office’s onboarding processes.
  • Fostering strategic relationships with Career Services professionals, law school student groups, search firms, and others to boost the firm’s recruiting strategies and brand awareness.
  • Assisting with the onboarding and integration of new hires and helping with the Boston summer, fall, lateral, and patent agent hires’ integration activities.
  • Coordinating with various teams across the firm to enhance our diversity, integration and retention efforts.
  • Coordinating onsite recruiting and attorney integration and appreciation events with the Boston Recruiter, Office Administrator, Site Manager, and Receptionist.
  • Updating and maintaining recruiting records and creating reports from the firm’s Applicant Tracking System and Workday.

The ideal candidate for this position has:

  • A bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least one year of professional recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services, is preferred.
  • Ability to set priorities, work independently and handle a variety of duties effectively under time constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Superior analytical, attention to detail, planning and organizational skills.
  • A motivated, creative mindset with the ability to make sound business decisions.
  • An understanding of unconscious bias and its impact on recruiting and hiring.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of firm personnel and external clients.
  • Knowledge of the attorney recruiting process and legal employment issues is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information with utmost discretion.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and applicant tracking systems, ideally Workday, viRecruit, and Flo Recruit.

The primary location for this job posting is in Boston. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows: $22.07 – $29.86 per hour.

The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
