How many people work in each of our many offices and practice groups? We know it can be hard to figure out, so we’ve laid it out in detail here.
Wilson Sonsini has 19 offices worldwide, and collaboration across offices and practice groups is the norm. Attorneys sometimes work more regularly with colleagues across the country than across the hall. And larger matters at the firm may involve attorneys from multiple practice groups in offices around the world. While we are a large, full-service firm, this agility and collegiality helps to make a big operation feel smaller and more comfortable.
That said, we understand that when you’re looking to join a firm, an office, and a practice, you’re naturally thinking about how big that group of people will be. The data below are meant to break down each office into the groups there that most commonly hire new associates, and show you how many attorneys are in each group. This won’t add up to the number of attorneys at the firm, as each office has a few attorneys who don’t fit neatly into the groups that commonly hire associates, and we also have a significant number of fully virtual attorneys. But these numbers will give you an idea of how large or small the particular group you are looking at is in each office.
